Dear friends,
it was our pleasure to meet you as part of our 355 FILM AWARD challenge. We are grateful to you
for your interesting ideas and the opportunity to read them all! We can assure you that each project has been thoroughly reviewed,
and that we have watched with great curiosity your upcoming films!
This year the competition was significantly tougher. We have selected 10 of you who have moved on to the next stage.
For the first year, 7 of you will be awarded a certificate for SEMI-FINALIST OF THE 355 FILM AWARD and they are:

The 13-member professional international jury of the 355 FILM AWARD, chaired by the hit producer FABIAN GASMIA and Honorary Chairman, the legendary OSVALDO DE SANTIS, had the responsible task of voting and selecting only three of you as finalists. All three of the chosen finalists, who got most points, were distinguished by their high motivation, original ideas, and strong passion for cinema.
WINNER
Orlin Menkandjiev
23-year-old Orlin is currently a student at National Academy of Theater and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov". He has shot various film sketches, music videos and commercials. He has directed two short films. The documentary "Priests" and the feature "Game", which has an active festival life - "7th Contact Yasar university Turkey", Early bird Bulgaria, and this year is in the official selection of the 26th "Sofia Film Fest". Orlin was strongly influenced by the French New Wave, Brecht, Lantimos, Bergman, Zvyagintsev, Sorentino and Fellini.
FINALIST
Antonii Hristov
Anthony is 26 years old. After graduating from high school, he went to England and enrolled in the introductory course "Fundamentals of Cinema and Photography". There he created his first short film "Thief", with which he was accepted at the Arts University of Bournemouth. He directed four impressive short films, followed by the music video of the Belarusian artist Neronski, commercials and a number of videos for the youth LGBT organization "Action". He is currently doing a Master Degree in Screen Directing at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov".
FINALIST
Lora Markova
Laura is 22 years old. She developed a strong passion for the psychological aspect of stories and the incorporation of bulgarian culture in them. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Film Production from Met Film School and a Master's degree in Screenwriting from London Film School. Over the past three years she has worked on numerous film projects in England and Bulgaria. Her latest short film The Waiting Room has received many selections and awards, some of which are the London International Screenwriting Competition, Vegas Movie Awards, In the Palace and others.
