Dear friends,
Thank you very much for taking part in the Stoyan Kambarev Foundation's film competition and we look forward to welcoming you with new ideas next year, when the task will still be the same - a 5 minute film with an unexpected ending.

FINALISTS 2023

FINALIST
Rumen Russev
Spent many years in England and was part of creative writing classes at Liverpool College. He studied film, television & digital media at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has participated in over 50 festivals with his last three films, which mainly deal with the themes of love, self-discovery and alternative worlds. One of his films, Jump Corner, was selected by the NFC to represent Bulgaria at the Short Film Festival - European Union in Ottawa. He founded Studio FLICKERS where he works on films, music videos and commercials.

FINALIST
Martina Troanska
Graduated from NATFA in Penko Gospodinov's class with the Best Actress award. She has an IKAR 2019 nomination for her Debut. She starred in the films "Fishbone" by Dragomir Sholev and "The Art of Falling" by Orlin Milchev. In 2021 she made her directorial debut "Anuta" an adaptation of Chekhov, which was selected in over 10 international festivals - Venezia Shorts, Tokyo Shorts, Berlin Indie Shorts, Toronto Women In Film, Cine Libri. She is a film directing student at the NBU and is finishing her second short film "Heart of a Rabbit".

FINALIST
Victoria Pavlova
Graduated in Film and Television Directing in 2021 at the NATFA "Krastyo Sarafov" in the box office of prof. Svetoslav Ovcharov, and is currently studying for a Master's degree in Occupational and Organizational Psychology at Sofia University. She has filmed only one project, which is a feature impression and aims to make an appeal against the illegal development of the village of Sinemorets. As an artist she is deeply interested in philosophical themes, themes of the definition of good and evil. She is inspired by Renaissance humanist values.
